This morning as apart of International Trails Day, members of the B.L.T. Rails to Trails Association, took part in a Mi’kmaq ceremony to bless the B.L.T. Rails to Trails. We would like to thank Elder Thomas Christmas for his prayer, thoughts, and blessing.
The B.L.T. Rails to Trails sits on Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral territory of the Mi’kmaw People; this territory is covered by the Treaties of Peace and Friendship.
