The B.L.T. Rails to Trails Association wants to extend a big thank you to the Honourable Lena Metlege Diab, Member of Parliament for Halifax West, for her ongoing support and many contributions to our trail community.
Recently, MP Lena Metlege Diab’s office played a key role in securing two summer student positions for the B.L.T. Rails to Trails, helping us keep the trail in top shape during the busy summer months. This support is invaluable, not only for maintaining the trail but also for providing local students with meaningful job opportunities.
But this isn’t the first time MP Metlege Diab has stepped up for us. She has consistently supported our fundraisers and been there for disaster relief efforts, showing a real commitment to our community and the preservation of our natural spaces.
“We are incredibly grateful to MP Lena Metlege Diab for her continuous support,” said Tracey Wright, Treasurer for the B.L.T. Rails to Trails Association. “Her efforts have made a huge difference in the development and sustainability of our trail, ensuring it remains a beloved resource for everyone.”
The B.L.T. Rails to Trails Association looks forward to continuing to work with MP Lena Metlege Diab and other community partners to make our trail even better for all users.
